The girls basketball team picked up a win and a loss last week to bring its season record to 10-5. First, the Eagles fell to The King’s Academy 47-55 with Cindy Su, grade 9, leading the offense with 12 points. Later in the week, the girls defeated Lincoln High 54-32 led by Akhila Ramgiri, grade 12, who scored 12 points. This week, the Eagles host Mercy SF on Tuesday and Castilleja on Thursday.
Boys Soccer
The boys soccer team continues to roll as it picked up two decisive league wins last week. The Eagles defeated Crystal Springs Uplands 8-0 and Eastside College Prep 3-0. Since dropping the first match of the season, the boys have rallied for nine straight wins. This week, the Eagles travel to Sacred Heart Prep on Wednesday and host Menlo on Friday for the Kicks Against Cancer game.
Girls Soccer
Last week, the girls soccer team fell to Crystal Springs Uplands in a tough 0-1 match before defeating Mercy SF 6-0. The 5-4-3 Eagles host Castilleja on Wednesday and Pinewood on Friday for the Kicks Against Cancer game.
Boys Basketball
The boys basketball team dropped two league games last week, falling to 7-9 on the season. The boys started the week with a 40-61 loss to Menlo, with Giovanni Rofa, grade 11, leading the way with 10 points and five rebounds. Later in the week, the Eagles fell to The King’s Academy 42-60, with Jack Connors, grade 11, and Gene Wang, grade 12, each scoring 12 points. This week, the Eagles travel to Pinewood on Tuesday and host Sacred Heart Prep on Friday.
Wrestling
The Harker wrestling team competed at the JV Oceana Tournament over the weekend with some nice results. In their respective weight classes, Arjun Kilaru, grade 12, placed fifth, Bobby Wang, grade 9, took fifth, Kobe Howard, grade 12, placed fourth, and Eric Fang, grade 11, took first place. The wrestlers take to the mat again this Saturday at the Del Mar Tournament.
The boys basketball team went 2-1 last week, bringing its season record to 7-7. Early in the week the Eagles defeated Woodside Priory 49-38 behind 17 points and seven rebounds from Jeffrey Liu, grade 11. The boys then dropped a 27-69 matchup with Eastside College Prep. Liu and Giovanni Rofa, grade 11, each scored 7 points in the loss. The Eagles finished off the week in style as they had the opportunity to play Crystal Springs Uplands at the Golden 1 Center, the home of the Sacramento Kings. Harker took care of the Gryphons 57-37. The Eagles host Menlo on Tuesday and The King’s Academy on Thursday.
Girls Basketball
Last week, the girls basketball team went 1-1 The Eagles fell to Mercy Burlingame 37-49, but Akhila Ramgiri, grade 12, scored 19 points. Later in the week, the girls defeated Crystal Springs Uplands 51-38 with Ramgiri again scoring 19 points and Kaitlyn Dai, grade 11, adding 12 points. The 9-4 Eagles host The King’s Academy on Thursday and Lincoln on Saturday.
Boys Soccer
The boys soccer team is now 7-1 on the year as it picked up two more wins last week. The Eagles defeated ACE Charter 1-0 and Woodside Priory 3-1. This week the boys host Crystal Springs Uplands on Wednesday and Eastside College Prep on Friday.
Girls Soccer
It was a good week for the girls soccer team as it went 2-0-1, picking up a 6-0 win over Pinewood and a 3-0 win over Eastside College Prep before playing to a 1-1 tie with Notre Dame San Jose. This week, the girls host Crystal Springs Uplands on Tuesday, then travel to Mercy SF on Thursday.
The boys soccer team improved to 5-1 on the season with a 4-0 victory over The King’s Academy during the break. This week, the Eagles host ACE Charter on Wednesday and Woodside Priory on Friday.

The girls soccer team fell to North Monterey County 1-2 in its sole match during the break. Up next for the Eagles is a trip to Pinewood on Tuesday before hosting Eastside College Prep on Thursday and Notre Dame SJ for a Saturday morning face off.

The boys basketball team stayed busy during the break, but only went 1-3 in its four matchups. The Eagles lost to Del Mar 48-56 with Gene Wang, grade 12, leading the offense with 12 points, then defeated Woodside 56-39 with Jack Connors, grade 11, scoring 16 points, followed by a 57-67 loss to Sacred Heart Prep with Ray Wang, grade 10, leading the way with 12 points, and finishing off the break with a tight 42-43 loss to Pacific Bay Christian with Jeffrey Liu, grade 11, leading the way with 9 points and seven rebounds. This week, the boys host Woodside Priory on Tuesday, travel to Eastside College Prep on Friday and take on Crystal Springs Uplands in a special matchup at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento on Saturday.
Girls Basketball
The girls basketball team went 1-1 over the break. The Eagles fell to Immaculate Conception 52-49, but Akhila Ramgiri, grade 12, filled the stat sheet with 18 points, 13 rebounds, three steals and three assists. The girls then defeated Pacific Collegiate 49-16 with Ramgiri leading the way with 16 points. This week, the Eagles travel to Mercy Burlingame on Tuesday and Crystal Springs Uplands on Friday.
Wrestling
The Harker wrestling team opens its season this Saturday at the Los Gatos Tournament.
Last week, the boys soccer team picked up two big wins to go to 4-1 on the season. The Eagles defeated Del Mar 4-2 early in the week, followed by a 4-3 win over Lynbrook. The boys soccer team won’t take the field again until the new year.
Girls Soccer
The girls soccer team defeated Yerba Buena 7-1 last week, before playing Lincoln to a 1-1 tie. The 2-2-2 Eagles will be in action again when 2019 rolls around.

The girls basketball team rolled to two wins last week to bring its season record to 9-2. In a 43-23 win over Harbor High, Prameela Kottapalli, grade 12, led the Eagles with 8 points. Later in the week, the girls defeated San Lorenzo Valley 39-28 with Akhila Ramgiri, grade 12, leading the way with 9 points and 11 rebounds. The Eagles play again on Saturday as they travel to Immaculate Conception Academy.
Boys Basketball
The boys basketball team defeated Redwood Christian 53-39 last week to improve its record to 4-3. Jarrett Anderson, grade 12, led the Eagles with 16 points and 11 rebounds. The Eagles play again over the break as they travel to Del Mar on Dec. 22.
Wrestling
Harker wrestling begins its season in early January at the Los Gatos Tournament.
The boys basketball team went 1-2 at the Lynbrook Tournament last week. The Eagles opened the tourney with a 31-41 loss to Los Altos with Giovanni Rofa, grade 11, leading the scoring with 11 points. The boys then defeated host Lynbrook 54-38 with Jack Connors, grade 11, leading the way with 15 points. Finally, the Eagles fell to Mills 32-48 in their final game with Connors once again leading the offense, this time with nine points. This week, the boys travel to Redwood Christian on Tuesday.
Girls Basketball
The girls basketball team went 1-2 at the Santa Clara Tournament last week, bringing its season record to 5-2. The girls lost to host Santa Clara 34-51 in the opening round with Akhila Ramgiri, grade 12, scoring 17 points. In the second round, the Eagles fell to Capuchino 25-65 with Ramgiri, Maria Vazhaeparambil, grade 10, Advika Phadnis, grade 10, and Prameela Kottapalli, grade 12, each chipping in four points. The girls finished the tourney with a 55-39 victory over Andrew Hill. Ramgiri and Brooklyn Cicero, grade 9, led the way with 10 points each. This week, the Eagles travel to Harbor on Tuesday and host San Lorenzo Valley on Thursday.
Boys Soccer
Last week, the boys soccer team defeated Saratoga 4-0 to up its record to 2-1. The boys host Del Mar on Wednesday and travel to Lynbrook on Friday.
Girls Soccer
The girls soccer team fell to San Mateo 1-5 and Wilcox 1-0 last week. This week, the Eagles host Yerba Buena on Tuesday and Lincoln on Thursday.
Fall All-League
Congratulations to all the fall athletes named to their respective all-league teams.
Girls volleyball finished second in CCS and was led by Emily Cheng, grade 11, who was named to the first team; Katrina Liou and Allison Cartee, both grade 12, who were second team selections; and Michelle Ning, grade 10, who was an honorable mention.
Anna Weirich, grade 10, Ritika Rajamani, grade 9, Ryan Adolf, grade 12, and Aditya Singhvi, grade 10, each earned cross country honorable mentions.
The girls tennis team earned a CCS berth with Santoshi Tirumala, grade 10, and Liza Egorova, grade 12, each making the first team, with Gina Partridge and Amanda Cheung, both grade 11, earning second team honors, and Sachi Bajaj, grade 10, receiving an honorable mention.
The co-league champion girls water polo team was represented by MVP goalie Arushi Madan, grade 11; first team selections Abigail Wisdom and Samantha Yanovsky, both grade 12; and Cassandra Ruedy, grade 11, who earned a second team selection.
The CCS Academic Champion boys water polo team was represented very well on the all-league rosters. Matthew Hajjar, grade 12, was league MVP and a CCS honorable mention, with Bobby Bloomquist and Jacob Kim, both grade 12, earning first team selections. Andrew Chang, grade 12, made the second team and Arjun Akkiraju, grade 11, and Leon Lu, grade 12, received honorable mentions.
The Harker football team is not affiliated with a league, but the coaches did give out team awards. Jared Anderson, grade 12, was the team MVP; Marcus Tymous, grade 12, was the Defensive Skill Player of the Year; Ayush Vyas, grade 12, was the Offensive Line Player of the Year; Anthony Meissner, grade 12, was named Offensive Skill Player of the Year; Devin Keller and Giovanni Rofa, both grade 11, earned the Special Teams Players of the Year; Trevor Thompson, grade 12, was the Co-Defensive Line Player of the Year; and John Zeng, grade 9, was the Scout Team Player of the Year.
Girls golf had a historic year as the team was the league champ, second in CCS and seventh in NorCal. Sophie Zhang-Murphy, grade 9, was league champ and the league MVP, with Katelyn Vo, grade 11, Natalie Vo, grade 10, and Tina Xu, grade 9, earning first team selections. Olivia Guo, grade 10, landed on the second team.
The girls basketball team became champions of the Pescadero Tournament as it went 3-0 and outscored its opponents 165-60 over the weekend. In their opening round game, the girls defeated Averroes High 67-5 with Prameela Kottapalli, grade 12, Sara Sullivan, grade 11, and Maria Vazhaeparambil, grade 10, each scoring 9 points. Next, the Eagles took down Mendocino 53-19 led by 11 points from Akhila Ramgiri, grade 12. In the championship game, Ramgiri scored 12 points as the Eagles defeated Pacific Bay Christian 45-36. Ramgiri also was selected to the all-tournament team. The girls begin the Santa Clara Tournament this Wednesday.
Boys Basketball
Over the weekend, the boys basketball team went 2-1 at the James Lick Tournament losing in the championship game in overtime. The Eagles started the tournament with a 69-31 win over San Jose High with Richard Wang, grade 12, and Jarrett Anderson, grade 12, each scoring 12 points. The boys then took care of Fremont High 54-28 led by 13 points from Jack Connors, grade 11. Finally, the Eagles fell to Wilcox 60-63 in OT with Anderson and Connors leading the way with 15 points each. The Eagles begin the Lynbrook Tournament this Thursday.
Girls Soccer
Last week, the girls soccer team opened their season with a 1-1 tie against The King’s Academy and a 5-0 win over Independence. This week, the Eagles host San Mateo on Tuesday and travel to Wilcox on Thursday.
Boys Soccer
The boys soccer team began its season with a 2-4 loss to South San Francisco last week, but rebounded with a 4-2 win over San Mateo later in the week. On Wednesday, the boys travel to Saratoga.
Wrestling
The wrestling team travels to the Los Gatos Tournament in early January to open its season.
Over the Thanksgiving break, the girls basketball team opened its season with a 65-24 win over University Prep Academy. Alexa Lowe, grade 9, led the Eagles with 14 points followed by 10 points from Sara Sullivan, grade 11. This Thursday, the girls travel to Pescadero to begin the Pescadero Tournament.

The boys basketball team officially opens its season this Thursday by competing in the James Lick Invitational Tournament.

The girls soccer team opens its season on Tuesday by hosting The King’s Academy at 3:30 p.m. at Davis Field.

Vivian Wang ’18 Has been making a name for herself on the Princeton swim team! In her first match, a tri-meet with Florida Gulf Coast and Florida Atlantic, in the 100 back, she took second to her team captain by 9/100ths with 57.50. Wang came back in the 100 fly, winning with 56.70. Go alumni Eagles!

MS Golf
The middle school golf team took first place in the WBAL fall tournament, winning by 17 strokes and shooting a 139 (best score since the tournament started)! The top golfer of the tournament was Claire Chen, grade 8, who shot a 32 and also got a hole-in-one on the fifth hole, followed by Ryan Zhang, grade 7 (34), Athreya Daniel, grade 8 (36), and Freddy Hoch, grade 8 (37).
VA (Grade 8) Flag Football: The varsity A team, coached by Richard Amarillas and Tim Hopkins, finished in sixth place in the WBAL with a record of 0-5 and went 0-7 overall. Team awards went to Chris Tonev and Nicholas Delfino (Eagle) and Sukrit Kalsi (Coaches).
VB (Grade 7) Flag Football: The varsity B team, coached by Mike Delfino and Dini Wong, finished in third place in the WBAL with a 3-3 record and went 3-4 overall. Team awards went to Thomas Egbert (MVP), Ryan Barth (Eagle) and Jack Ledford (Coaches).
JVA (Grade 6) Flag Football: The junior varsity A team, coached by Matt Arensberg, finished in fourth place in the WBAL with a 1-3 record and went 2-4 overall. Team awards went to Vyom Vidyarthi (MVP), Drew Diffenderfer (Eagle) and Rahul Yalla (Coaches).
JVB (Grade 5) Flag Football: The junior varsity B team, coached by Karriem Stinson and Walid Fahmy, finished as co-champs in the WBAL with a 4-0-2 record. Team awards went to Brennan Williams (MVP), Rishaan Thoppay (Eagle) and Topaz Lee (Coaches).
LS Intramural (Grade 4) Flag Football: Team awards went to Zackary Delfino and David Kelly (Eagle), and Ian Lee (Coaches). The team was coached by Tobias Wade.
VA (Grade 7/8) Softball: The varsity A team, coached by Raul Rios, Vanessa Rios and Adam Albers, finished in second place in the WBAL with a record of 4-1 and went 4-2 overall. Team awards went to Katelyn Abellera, grade 8 (MVP), Gwen Yang, grade 8 (Eagle), and Saira Ramakrishnan, grade 6 (Coaches).
JVA (Grades 4-6) Softball: The junior varsity A team, coached by Jon Cvitanich and Megan Regan, finished in third place in the WBAL with a record of 0-4. Team awards went to Raeanne Li, grade 4 (MVP), Elie Ahluwalia, grade 5 (Eagle), and Sofia Shah, grade 5 (Coaches).
LS Intramural (Grade 4) Softball: Team awards went to Sophie Chen (MVP) Gizelle Sanchez (Eagle) and Arshia Sankar (Coaches). The team was coached by Colleen Campbell and Brittney Moseley.
The girls golf team ended its historic season placing seventh out of 12 teams in the NorCal finals last week. Natalie Vo, grade 10, finished in a tie for third and qualified for the state finals, which will be held on Wednesday at the Victoria Club Golf Course in Riverside.
Girls Tennis
The girls tennis team fell to Mountain View High 3-4 last week in the opening round of CCS. The doubles team of Sachi Bajaj and Fonda Hu, both grade 10, will face off against Soquel to start the doubles tournament on Wednesday at Bay Club Courtside.
Girls Volleyball
The girls volleyball team was defeated by Vanden High 3-1 in the first round of the NorCal tournament last week. Congrats on a great season!
Cross Country
Ryan Adolf, grade 12, and Ritika Rajamani, grade 9, will compete at the CCS finals on Nov. 17 at the Crystal Springs Cross Country Course. The meet was was rescheduled because of poor air quality.
Girls Water Polo
The girls water polo team finished off one of the best seasons in school history with three wins in the SCVAL tournament to become tournament champs and co-league champs for just the second time in program history! The girls defeated Milpitas 13-3, Wilcox 11-2 and Saratoga 5-4 in the championship game. The Eagles are the No. 5 seed in the CCS D2 tournament and travel to Aptos on Nov. 3.
Girls Golf
The girls golf team finished the regular season with a 194-299 win over Castilleja. The girls followed up their league title with a league tournament title shooting a 370, defeating the second place team by 44 strokes! Sophie Zhang-Murphy, grade 9, won the individual title shooting a 69, with Tina Xu, grade 9, shooting a 70 to tie for second. The Eagles head to Laguna Seca on Tuesday to compete in the CCS Championships.
Girls Volleyball
The girls volleyball team finished off the regular season with a 3-1 victory over Mercy SF before beginning the CCS playoffs. The No. 4 seed Eagles defeated Marina High 3-0 and will now host Mercy Burlingame Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the quarterfinals.
Girls Tennis
Last week, the girls tennis team defeated Homestead 4-3 and Notre Dame Belmont 7-0 to finish off the regular season with a 13-5 record. On Monday, the doubles team of Sachi Bajaj, grade 10, and Fonda Hu, grade 10, as well as Liza Egorova, grade 12, advanced to the WBAL Tournament semis on Tuesday at Menlo.
Boys Water Polo
The boys water polo team played very well in the SCVAL Tournament finishing in second place. The Eagles defeated Saratoga 14-12 and Fremont 13-2 before falling to Wilcox 8-9 in the finals. The boys finished a very strong season with a 17-10 record.
Cross Country
The cross country team takes on the entire WBAL at the league finals on Friday at Crystal Springs Uplands Cross Country Course.
MS Golf
Congratulations to the MS golf team as it took first place among 52 competitors and eight teams in the fall WBAL tournament. The Eagles shot a 139, defeating the second place team by 17 strokes, and were led by Claire Chen, grade 8, who won the tournament with a 32, which included a hole in one on the fifth hole! This is the 12th championship out of the last 13 tournaments for the middle school.
