Wonderful outreach from one of our students as noted in OneIndia.com 

Harker endowment recipients visited Stanford Humanities Center to discuss their theses. Great collaboration!

Harker School took second in the 2019 SLAC Regional Science Bowl competition, this year.  

Five Harker students wrote poems for a City of San Jose sustainability project. Three hundred poems were submitted, ten were selected and five of those were from Harker students.  

South Bay Accent included some nice quotes from Harker students, teachers and a parent in an article about art subjects in its February-March issue

The New Zealand Herald noted  a contingent of students will visit Silicon Valley in April and their trip will include a visit to Harker.

Mercury News columnist Sal Pizarro was kind enough to give Harker’s Taylor Eigsti appearance a shout out in his Oct. 16 column, in which he also mentioned the new Rothschild Performing Arts Center (RPAC).

BioSpace ran a nice article on Rajiv Movva ’18 being named a Davidson Fellow. 

HMH Landscape Architecture company noted the landscaping around the Saratoga campus’ new athletic center and RPAC in its blog.

Niche.com released a list of top STEM high schools, and the San Francisco Chronicle ran an article noting Harker’s high school is at the top of the heap in California and No. 2 in the United States. 

This Tech & Learning article notes Sriram Bhimaraju, grade 7, earned fourth place at the 2018 Discover Education 3M Young Scientist Challenge for the development of an Archery Assistant app that improves an archer’s accuracy by correcting form in real-time using a Bluetooth sensor.

Great news for recent alumnus Rajiv Movva ’18! He is one of 20 students nationwide awarded a Davidson Fellows Scholarship for his project, “SNPpet: Deep Learning the Human Epigenome Reveals Regulatory Sequence Patterns and Genomic Mechanisms of Disease.” He is one of only 20 students across the country to receive this honor. 

Harker’s new Rothschild Performing Arts Center and its new athletic center were named winners in Silicon Valley Business Journal’s 2018 Structures awards

Former Harker football position coach Brennan Marion has been named offensive coordinator for Howard University prior to the 2017 season. His first coaching position was at West Valley College (Calif.) as a strength coach, and in 2012 he worked as a position coach at The Harker School.
