Over Memorial Day weekend, rising fourth grader Grace Li and rising seventh grader Terence Heng were named Intermediate Champions of the National Academic Bowl, held by International Academic Competitions (IAC) in Orlando, Fla. This competition was part of a larger event held by IAC, where Heng also became the sixth grade champion in the National Geography Bee. International Academic Competitions was founded in 2010 by David Madden, a former champion on the game show “Jeopardy!” and organizes international events that test competitors on knowledge in subjects such as history, geography and science.
