Kindergartner Kiyana Wager, a jiu jitsu practitioner, recently won a gold medal at the CompNet California Winter Championship in Orange, Calif. Kiyana has been practicing jiu jitsu since the age of 4, and her parents mentioned her education at Harker as playing a role in her success. “Kiyana’s dedication and persistence has been impressive for us and her team to witness, just as it has been at Harker,” said Kiyana’s father, John Wager. “The qualities she learns from her teachers at school led her to success outside of school.”
