Last month, Brandon Yang ’14 was named one of Forbes’ 30 Under 30 in the AI category as a founder of Cartesia AI, along with co-founder Arjun Desai. Cartesia specializes in artificial intelligence that can be utilized offline through what the company calls “state space” models. According to the founders, these models work more efficiently than popular large language models such as ChatGPT. So far the company has raised more than $20 million in funding.
