First grader Anson He-Maynard was the highest-placing six-year-old in the ages 6-8 duathlon last month at the Silicon Valley Kids Triathlon, placing 12th overall among the 48 competitors at the event. Described by his father, Kieran, as an “avid athlete,” Anson entered his first duathlon last year and completed his first Spartan Kids Race in June. The Silicon Valley Kids Duathlon was his first competitive event.
